The Dental Implant Positioning Guide set combines an L-shaped guide for single-tooth sites, an S-shaped guide for multiple adjacent implant sites, and three locating pins for directional and parallelism assessment.
It provides mechanical and visual references for identifying the initial drilling center, evaluating available space, planning the distance between adjacent implant sites, and positioning subsequent osteotomies from an established reference point.
Features
- Supports both single-tooth and multiple-adjacent implant cases
- Dual wedge design accommodates different edentulous-space widths
- Central slot provides a reference for initial pilot drilling
- Integrated graduated markings assist with intraoperative measurement
- Five spacing references support first-site positioning
- Adjustable sliding mechanism supports sequential multi-implant positioning
- Locking structure maintains the selected spacing during use
- Three locating pins assist with direction and parallelism assessment
- Complete instrument case keeps all components organized
- Reusable design for professional dental workflows

Single-Tooth Implant Positioning
The L-shaped guide is designed to assist with locating the initial osteotomy center in a single-tooth edentulous space.
Both ends feature wedge-shaped guide heads. The selected wedge is inserted into the edentulous space and moved into position until it provides an appropriate fit between the adjacent teeth. The central guide slot then serves as a reference for locating the pilot drilling position.
Dual Wedge Configuration
The guide provides two wedge sizes for different clinical spaces:
- The larger wedge is intended for wider edentulous spaces.
- The smaller wedge is suitable for narrower spaces and anterior sites.
This dual-ended configuration allows the clinician to select the guide end that better matches the available space.
Integrated Measurement Scale
Graduated markings on the L-shaped guide provide a convenient reference for evaluating:
- Edentulous-space width
- Intraoperative distances
- Available working space
- Relative position of the proposed implant site
The guide can therefore be used for both positioning and measurement during the procedure.
Pilot Drill Positioning Slot
The central positioning slot is approximately 2.1 mm wide and is designed to provide a positioning reference for an approximately Ø2.0 mm pilot drill.
After the wedge-shaped head has been positioned within the edentulous space, the slot indicates the proposed center of the initial osteotomy.
The instrument assists with positioning only. Final implant position, angulation, depth, and drill selection must be determined by the treating clinician.
Multiple-Implant Positioning
The S-shaped guide is designed for cases involving two or more adjacent implant sites. It provides reference points for locating the first implant relative to the adjacent tooth and an adjustable mechanism for positioning the second, third, and subsequent implant sites.
Five Spacing References
One end of the guide provides five selectable distance references:
- 3.5 mm
- 4.0 mm
- 4.5 mm
- 5.0 mm
- 5.5 mm
These markings represent reference distances from the edge of the adjacent tooth to the proposed implant center.
The clinician can select the reference position according to the planned implant dimensions, available space, restorative plan, and individual clinical conditions.
Sequential Site Positioning
After the initial implant site has been established, a locating pin can be inserted into the prepared osteotomy.
The adjustable section of the guide can then be positioned from this established reference point to locate the center of the next implant site.
This sequence can be repeated when planning additional adjacent implant positions.
Adjustable and Lockable Mechanism
The sliding locator can be adjusted to the required position and secured before drilling.
This allows the guide to accommodate different spacing requirements instead of limiting the clinician to one fixed implant arrangement.
Direction and Parallelism Reference
The set includes three locating pins for placement into prepared pilot osteotomies.
The pins provide visible references that can assist the clinician with:
- Checking the direction of the initial osteotomy
- Evaluating the relationship between adjacent implant sites
- Positioning the guide from an established osteotomy
- Comparing the direction of multiple implant sites
- Planning the next drilling position in a sequence
The locating pins provide a visual and mechanical reference only. They do not guarantee final implant parallelism.

Applications
- Single-tooth implant positioning
- Multiple adjacent implant positioning
- Initial pilot osteotomy location
- Mesiodistal space assessment
- Adjacent-tooth-to-implant distance reference
- Sequential implant-site positioning
- Drilling direction assessment
- Parallelism reference between implant sites
